![]() ![]() This post assumes that you’ve already set up GitLab CI and have some basic knowledge of how GitLab administration and GitLab runners work. This blog post outlines how we were able to utilize the Docker Machine features of gitlab-runner in conjunction with AWS to create a scalable solution that’s cost-effective and (most importantly) actually works. Along with the emergence of amazing tools like Spark and Docker, the volume and intensity of builds started to outgrow the all-in-one box that we had GitLab & GitLab CI running on. And today, GitLab CI has started to knock Jenkins off the throne as continuous integration tool of choice for some of our teams.ĭuring this time, we’ve grown from around 20 employees then to more than 140 today. ![]() We started off with a meager instance built from source, and finally upgraded to the Omnibus installation last year. HumanGeo has grown with GitLab over the years.
